After users began reporting outages early Tuesday morning, a Verizon spokesman said service had been “fully restored.”
“We experienced an issue impacting texting services for some customers this morning. Our engineers were able to identify and resolve the issue quickly,” David Weissmann said.
The telecommunications giant said earlier on Twitter that it was aware of the issue and working to fix it Tuesday morning. Verizon workers running the @VZWSupport account were busy responding to dozens of tweets that began flooding in around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
